Like someone pulling signal from static, Cosey Mueller continues to find innovative permutations on Punk and Experimental Electronic, developing them into a distinctive style in her impressive discography - of which "Embodiment of Denial" serves as a new highpoint. 
An increasingly driving danceability is the backdrop for a heightened focus on Mueller's commanding voice. Ear-catching hook after hook is loaded across the album's eight tracks, while, far from the empty sloganeering parodied on her song "Der Politiker", she reclaims the declarative statement for the forces of good. 
Cosey Mueller is raising questions about love, power, equality, honesty and the media - which has become such a big part of everyday life. At the same time humour serves like a lubricant, easing the tension between the sheer pleasure of listening to music and the subject matter which might seem uncomfortable and dark at first. 

Artist statement: 

„Embodiment of denial"  

- it's the denial to embody anything forced upon us by the outside and by others. The body will eventually become what it lives through and what it's told before it dies. It's very important to define life and filter influence. It's a call for embodiment of self-determination. My vision as a musician and artist is to motivate people (including myself) through my music to be themselves and do something worthwhile within the short time that they are on this planet.

If Living in a Fiction were a way of walking, it would start slightly hunched forward, at a brisk pace, eyes fixed on the two or three meters in front of you. That's how you move through the city when there's pressure but you don't want to fight. Was that a stumble? No, that was a lunge - a pas de bourrée of sound. Saturated in the lascivious neon glow of Berlin's infamous club scene, Das Beat's debut album Frau Fatal shocks the city's synchronized techno heartbeat with a burst of energy, offering a dazzling display of modern pop that gestures to new wave, EBM, indie rock and Italo disco. Formed in 2021 by Canadian musician Alexander Cowan (aka DJ Kerby) and German singer and performer Eddie Rabenberger, the duo follow their motto "We do whatever we want to do," augmenting their musical history with contemporary, empowering themes that pirouette through romance, depression, casual dating and fast-paced city life.
